Rohit Sharma Birth & Childhood

Rohit Sharma born in Bansod, Nagpur on 30 April 1987, her mother’s name is Purnima, and her father’s name is Gurunath Sharma who is a caretaker at a transportation firm.

Because of not having good financial condition Rohit’s most of his childhood he spent in his grandparent’s house who lived in Borivali and at weekends to meet his parents he came to dombivalli.

And he has a keen interest in cricket since his childhood but because of week financial condition, he was not able to join a cricket academy so he used to play with other kids of his colony.

And after seeing his dedication his uncle helped him financially and with the help of that, he was able to join a cricket academy in the year 1999 where his coach was Dinesh Lad.

And after seeing his dedication his coach suggested him to change his school and take admission into swami Vivekanand international school but at that time he was not able to afford the fees of that school.

And there his coach again helped him and because of his coach he got four years of scholarship in Swami Vivekanand Internation School and his coach was appointed as PE their and also the facilities were great there.

And one interesting thing might don’t know about Rohit is that he was an off-spinner in his early days of cricket and used to bat at no. seven or eight.

And his coach recognizes his talent and told him to open in the match and he showed his talent in that match and scored 140 at that match and fixed the opener spot.

So in those 4 years, he learned all the little things and his hard work can be seen in his batting and after that now it’s the time for his domestic and international career.

His Domestic Career

In the year 2005, he started his domestic career by playing from the west zone against the central zone, but he becomes famous when he played a great game against the north zone where he scored 142 runs in just 123 balls.

And then he also performed great when he played for India A and because of that he was in the top 30 players who can be selected for the champions trophy but he was not able to get in the final team.

Then he made his debut in the Ranji Trophy in the year 2006-2007 but he was not able to perform great in that series. but still, he has scored 205 against Gujrat in that series.

Internation Career

His International cricket was started in the year 2007 when he got selected to play against Ireland, although he only got to play one game in the whole series and even in that game he does not get to bat.

And in the same year in the T-20 world cup, he scored 50 runs in just 40 balls and led India to victory and we can say that was the turning point of his life after winning that match India secured the place of semi-finalist and Rohit Sharma was the man of the match at that game.

After a few more awesome games he lost his form and got dropped from the team but after scoring the triple century in the year 2009, he got his position back in the team.

But he did not get to bat properly but next year in 2010 he scored his first century against Zimbabwe he again in the next game he scored a century and secured his place in the team.

Then in the year 2013, he becomes the opener of the game with Shikhar Dhawan and they both help the team a lot to win the Champions Trophy and in the same year, he scored a double century in an ODI game and made a world record at that match.

So he was chosen in the Mumbai Indian team in IPL and because of his awesome performance, he became the captain of the Mumbai Indians and also won many IPL trophies.
